Exciting Adventures Await for Grades 6-8

Upper Camp at Camp Westwoods is specifically designed for middle schoolers entering grades 6 through 8. This exciting program fosters growth, adventure, and lasting friendships, offering a variety of activities tailored to the unique interests and developmental needs of older kids. Each week introduces a new sport, alongside rock wall climbing, campfire cooking, theater, gymnastics, ropes course challenges, and more. It provides campers the opportunity to explore new skills, make meaningful connections, and create unforgettable memories. Campers also enjoy daily Red Cross swim instruction from our certified staff, along with a fun recreational swim period each afternoon. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, friendship, and skill-building for growing teens!

Exciting Activities to Explore Every Day

The camp day is divided into eight 40-minute periods. Each camp group is scheduled for Swim Instruction, Free Swim, Lunch, and Workshops every day. They will also be scheduled for the activities listed below once or twice per week. Swim instruction provided by Red Cross Certified staff.

Supportive Counselors and Engaging Programs

Our Upper Camp program is tailored to meet the unique needs of pre-teens and teens, many of whom have grown up at Camp West Woods. We focus on providing age-appropriate activities that spark creativity and foster personal growth. Our counselors are carefully selected for their maturity and experience in working with this age group. In addition to daily activities, Upper Campers participate in special programs, field trips, athletic events (like track-letics and Olympics week), fun carnivals, and the popular camp dance.

All campers are expected to adhere to camp rules and manage their own behavior. If your child may need additional support to ensure a positive camp experience, please contact us before the session begins.
