CampWestWoods
The LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM at Camp West Woods is designed for students entering grades 9 and 10.  This unique program enables campers to develop leadership and employment skills, while making friends and having fun in a supervised environment.  Special programs, including field trips and in-camp events, are included in the schedule for the summer.

First-year LTPs (entering 9th grade) have assignments with groups or specialty areas (such as swimming or ropes) in the morning.  During the afternoon, they have a meeting with the LTP Coordinator and then participate in camp activities as campers.  Their rotations with an assigned group usually last two weeks; at the end of the rotation, they receive a written evaluation.

LTP Volunteers (entering 10th grade) are assigned to a group or specialty area for the full camp day.  Rotations with an assigned group usually lasts two weeks; however, if an LTP Volunteer is excelling in a particular area, they may be asked to remain there for longer than two weeks.  They receive written evaluations to help them track their progress.  The focus for the LTP Volunteers is on acquiring important leadership and job skills that they can carry with them to future places of employment.

In order to get the most out of the LTP program, it is essential that all LTPs attend camp for a minimum of four weeks.
